104 Companies Included In The First Sector-Neutral Gender Gender Equality Index  
2018 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index has increased to 104 companies, doubled from the previous year, covering sectors including communication, consumer products, energies, financials, materials, and technology.

India’s Gender Inequality has led to Millions of “unwanted” girls.  

Deeply-ingrained preference for boys has led to a massive gender gap in India according to a CNN report.  It’s estimated that there is a skewed of 107:100 male to female ratio, which means that there is a gender gap  as much as 63 millions girls missing in India.

Researchers from the World Economic Forum from this week stating that the wage and status gaps will significantly widen in high-growth sectors such as IT and biotech, but the gaps also include the continuation of the glass ceiling for the traditional sectors like education and healthcare.

Along with the recent #MeToo movement and the Hollywood allegation on sexual harassment, Mayor Garcetti is urging the majors to focus on gender inclusion in the workplace.

Gender issues have been the highlight of the 2018 World Economic Forum Annual meeting in Davos.  Women are half of the world’s potential.  If women play an identical roles as men do, the world economy can be boost US$28 trillion by 2025.
